Welcome to Where We LiveIn our short time on Earth we make a home among living things and human beings who may not even be aware that we exist. But we are connected...to our history and to hope; to meaning and to mystery. We welcome our children to a world that begins inside each of us and extends further than we can see. Yet, whether we live on a sidewalk in Calcutta, the sands of the Sahara, or a boat in the Amazon, something in us wants to say "We're here!" Our feet touch the ground. We are family and neighbors. Everyone lives in a community; a system maintained through the integration of social, economic, moral, cultural, and political dimensions. But those measures of community are only parts of the whole picture. Our family is big. Our world is both smaller and larger than we think, and each of us has stories to tell. Imagine that you have the ability to go anywhere on the globe within seconds of connecting to the internet. Where would you go? As each new neighborhood or village presents itself through Where We Live, we hope it might in some small way change the way we see the world. And if we're lucky, it might change the way the world sees us. Welcome!
